ASURA: CITY OF MADNESS

SYNOPSIS: In the corrupt, crumbling fictional city of Annam, dirty-cop-for-hire Han Do-kyung finds himself squeezed between a monstrous, power-drunk mayor and the ruthless prosecutor determined to bring them both down. Director Kim Sung-soo piles double-cross upon double-cross in this pitch-black neo-noir until nearly every character is drenched in blood, sweat, and moral rot. Brutal, breathless, and utterly merciless, it’s a gangster epic where there are no good guys left to root for — only survivors.
