BLUEBEARD
SYNOPSIS: A financially desperate gastroenterologist takes over a rundown clinic above a butcher shop run by an unsettlingly calm father-and-son duo — and soon becomes convinced they’re connected to a string of unsolved murders. Director Lee Soo-youn twists reality and delusion into a tight knot, turning her protagonist’s paranoid investigation into a slow-burn descent where nothing, including his own memory, can be trusted. Equal parts psychological thriller and modern fairy tale, it’s a creeping, cerebral nightmare.
