SYNOPSIS: When his loyal gang is betrayed and slaughtered in a single bloody night, the chivalrous thief Juzaburo barely escapes with his life — only to be nursed back to health by a kindly tavern-keeping couple and the incorruptible inspector who saved him. Rechristened Genzaburo, he trades his criminal past for a quiet life behind the bar, until an old debt comes calling and threatens to unravel everything he’s rebuilt.
