MY LOVE SINEMA

SYNOPSIS: In 1950s Singapore, twenty-year-old Kheong leaves his rural kampung to chase the flickering magic of the movies, training as a projectionist in a small-town cinema. There he falls for Wei, a spirited young teacher swept up in the era’s leftist student movements, and their romance is tested across decades of political upheaval and personal sacrifice. Directed by Tan Ai Leng and inspired by the wistful nostalgia of Cinema Paradiso, this heartfelt Singaporean drama is a loving ode to a bygone golden age of moviegoing.
